Teacher, 26, Proves Doctor Wrong And Lands Dream Job Despite Being Shorter Than All Her Students

Kelly knew quickly after delivering her daughter Megan that something just wasn’t right. It wasn’t until they met with a genetic doctor that they learned Megan was born with a very rare form of dwarfism called Metatropic Dysplasia.

Doctors told her parents she wouldn’t survive past the first year of her life. As you’re about to see, however, Megan exceeded all of the medical odds.

The condition came with a lifetime of nasty comments and public scrutiny, which Megan says was even harder than the often painful and difficult physical ramifications.

“In middle school, a kid said I had AIDS and nobody should sit next to me,” Megan told Barcroft. “I wasn’t great in high school either. I had a lot to deal with.”
