New York City has become an epicenter of the pandemic, causing so many pregnant women in the state to worry about their pending labor and delivery.
It’s a heartbreaking reality: women giving birth without the support systems on which they depend and parents missing the birth of their own kids.
Evan and Rachel Puchalsky, one New York-based couple, are hoping and praying these rules will be lifted by May 2020 so they can be together for the birth of their first child.
“It hurts my heart to know I wouldn’t necessarily be there when my child is brought into this earth,” Evan told CBS New York. “But I’m more concerned about her being delivered healthy.”
