A Bengali-America comedian named Usama Siddiquee recently performed in front of a virtual audience during the current season of “America’s Got Talent.”
The judges thought Usama got off to a great start, with lots of energy and confidence. He tried pushing the envelope by joking about his name, and the issues of sexism and feminism.
Usama remarked that even the most ignorant comments can be accepted in music, as long as there’s a good beat. He joked that DJs can get away with saying things like “women shouldn’t vote” or “get back to the kitchen.”
Then, he attempted to prove his point and turned his attention to judge Heidi Klum. “Heidi, if I called you a tramp, you’d say, ‘How dare you,’ right? You’d be like, ‘Well, I do get loose on occasion.’”
