Graduating from high school is an exciting time. It’s all about celebrating the past while looking ahead to the future.
Yet, there didn’t seem to be many thoughts of the future from students and families of California’s Lincoln High School.
That said, Dylan was not one of the seniors who participated in the photo. “If they think they are safe enough to be out there, then that is fine by me.”
Lead Placer County health officer Dr. Aimee Sisson said she sympathizes with the students. Still, she believed this was a dangerous move.
“Getting together in a large group, standing shoulder-to-shoulder, without face coverings, is a recipe for virus transmission and a violation of the Governor’s statewide stay-at-home order. I want our residents to understand that the virus is still present in our community, and now is still not the time to gather in person.”
