Agatha Christie’s The Pale Horse viewers baffled with ‘confusing’ final seconds

The Pale Horse came to a bizarre end tonight with the two-part Agatha Christie special leaving us with as many questions as it did answers.

Mark Easterbrook (Rufus Sewell), teetering on the edge of insanity, tries to hunt down how the ‘witches’ of Much Deeping knew who he was, what they had against him, and why people around him kept dying.

It led him down some pretty dark paths with his new young wife Hermia (Kaya Scodelario) getting more angry by the day as she tried to match up to his dead first wife, Delphine (Georgina Campbell).

With dead bodies dropping from a mysterious illness by the day, it finally came to a head with the killer being revealed as Zachariah Osborne (Bertie Carvel), a man who had claimed to have a bond with Mark as the two surviving names on ‘the list’ left behind by a dead woman.
